Introducing..
French Windows
“A window to bring the outside in..”
What’s it made of?
Our PVCu French Windows are made with Liniar’s multi-chambered casement, EnergyPlus casement or flush sash profile. Our Aluminium French Windows are made with Smart’s Alitherm 300 multi-chambered profile. Typically, they are glazed with a 28mm thick sealed unit, made with a sheet of Pilkington’s Optifloat™ Glass and a sheet of Pilkington’s KA Glass™.
What makes it unique?
Unlike our regular casement windows, French windows have what’s called a floating mullion. This means the bar that is in the middle of the two sashes (opening part of the window) is connected- allowing an opening much larger than most other windows. Think of a French door, but as a window, perfectly suited to cottages and period properties.
